Special Tree Day: October 15, 4 - 7 PM
Since giving birth to my son Joshua in October 1985, I have been gifted special trees to plant in our two homes, 33 Euclid Avenue and 47 Wright Avenue.
Two trees in front of both houses honour Joshua while three trees in my spiral garden honour my mother, father, and brother. One other, a cherry tree, was a surprise gift from Joshua’s father.
On October 15, my partner John brought me a surprise: a slide show of many photos he has taken of me with trees, and often photographing trees, from Canada to Hawaii and Central America. Joshua came to this showing and so did his father Antonio who identified the cherry tree he had planted and is now returning to the earth.
